Recent survey have signaled that access to gainful employment and income opportunities for young people in Kenya is hindered by the lack of capital, information and relevant skills.
They are employed and most tend to be engaged in low paying informal Jua Kali sector in urban areas.
Government spokesman Cyrus Oguna had briefed about housing project along Park road Nairobi.One man, Joseph Muhia assembled Oguna about earmarked of 228 houses out of 1370 for handover before the end of this month (October 2019).
Muhia is the head of outfit known as Ngokamka, an acronym for Ngong road, Kamukunji and Kariobangi Jua kali associations. This is one of the informal groups brought on board by the government.
The Jua Kali sector is expected to forge most of the metal and wooden fixtures in a deal they will pocket sh 120 million. This will help Juacali workers to earn a little bit good amount.
It will also increase investment opportunities among people in the country according to research done by jua Kali workers in different parts of the country through social media.
